Applying For A Grant

Criteria

We accept applications both from individuals and from organisations. Our main areas of interest are:

  • Broadening educational experiences – priority given to adventurous and musical activities by those resident within a 25 mile radius of Newton Abbot in Devon
  • Heritage railway projects
  • Local charitable projects – initiatives that improve the lives of people living in Devon

We regret that applications for financial assistance for first degrees will be declined, and that we do not fund the purchase of electrical equipment.

For individual applications, we require contact details for two referees from whom we will request references. Time spent chasing references will delay any grant payment, so please ensure the details you provide are correct and that your referees are expecting us to contact them.

Timescales

The Trustees meet twice a year, in April and October. Applications received before 15th April and 15th October will be discussed at the next meeting. It is possible that applications received after those dates may still be discussed, but this cannot be guaranteed.

It is sometimes possible that the Trustees can meet between these dates to allow a deadline to be met, but this also cannot be guaranteed. Please highlight on your application if this might be needed.

How To Apply

Please complete an online application.
